Do I need a sworn translation for Spain?
It depends on who receives the document, what it is for and where it was issued. Choose them below. A firm answer always shows the official source behind it; where we have none, the checker says what it depends on or that we have not confirmed it yet.
Choose where you will submit the document, and which document it is.
An answer is only firm when a published source backs it.
How the answers are made
A “needed” or “not needed” comes from the receiving office’s published requirements, Spanish or EU law, or the Apostille Convention, with the date we last read it. “Depends” names the question that would settle it. “Not confirmed” means we have no source yet: send us the document and we check before quoting.
Juranza is a translation service, not a law firm, and nothing here is legal advice. Requirements published by Spanish consulates and immigration offices change without notice — always check your own consulate before submitting.
